Defensive Shotgun
Our Defensive Shotgun Course is a one day course for those who have had little or no formal instruction on the shotgun.  The main objective of this course is to familiarize the shooter with his or her shotgun and to develop shooter confidence and safe handling.

Covered in this course are the fundamentals of firearms safety, loading and unloading, and proper firing and use of a shotgun.

Course requirements:

  • Eye protection (Rx if required)
  • Hearing protection (electronic, Peltor type, are recommended)
  • Shotgun
  • 125 rounds of birdshot (no. 7 shot or smaller)
  • 20 Buckshot rounds
  • 10 Slug Rounds
  • Suitable clothing – seasonal dependent
  • Reputable Background with no felony convictions

  • 150 rounds of birdshot (no. 7 shot or smaller)
  • 25 Buckshot rounds
  • 10 Slug Rounds
  • Suitable clothing – seasonal dependent
  • Reputable Background with no felony convictions
